Matze Rossi (born March 17, 1977 in Schweinfurt ; civil name: Matthias Nürnberger ), Senore Matze Rossi on the first albums , is a German-speaking singer and songwriter and former guitarist and singer of the punk rock band Tagtraum .

Life

As a member of Tagtraum, Matze Rossi already collected songs that he found unsuitable for the band, and played a few concerts from 2003 onwards. He published 7 pieces on his first solo album solo (w) boy, so-low . Daydream broke up in 2006 and Matze Rossi brought his second album and when will you get out of your hiding place ... out.

After a series of concerts for the new CD all over Germany, Matze Rossi and friends founded the accompanying band Gaston at the end of 2006. Together with them he recorded his third album ... And how are your ladies? which was released in 2008. In addition to acoustic guitars, electric guitars, bass, drums, Rhodes piano, piano and percussion devices, pot lids, heating elements, brooms, a typewriter and various other household items were also used. Rossi played concerts alternately with an accompanying band or solo with acoustic guitar and harmonica.

From 2010 three online EPs with the title Four Tales of Ghosts, Girls, Elephants and Turtles , which were recorded with the support of the band Gaston, were released.

In 2011, Matze Rossi split from his band. In the summer of 2014, the self-produced album And Now Light, Please, was released on its own label “Dancing In The Dark Records”. In 2014 and 2015 Rossi gave more concerts, in 2016 his album Ich fange Feuer was released .
