The Maud Seamount is a deep-sea mountain in the Lasarew Sea off the Princess Martha Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located just north of the Maud Rise .

The designation, which the Advisory Committee for Undersea Features recognized in February 1964, was based on that of Queen Maud Land. Its namesake is Maud of Great Britain and Ireland (1869-1938), wife of Haakon VII and the first queen of the Kingdom of Norway, which has been independent since 1905 .
