Maulvi Anwarul Haq

Maulvi Anwarul Haq is a Pakistani civil servant. He has been attorney general in his country since April 20, 2010 (as of February 2012). His predecessor was Anwar Mansoor Khan .

Career

Haq was a judge on the Lahore Supreme Court .

In 2012, under his leadership, the public prosecutor charged Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for obstruction of justice before the Constitutional Court. The reason was Gilani's refusal to reopen corruption proceedings against President Asif Ali Zardari .
