Maura Tombelli

Maura Tombelli (born November 8, 1952 in Montelupo Fiorentino ) is an Italian astronomer .

She began her research with variable stars and is a successful discoverer of nearly 200 minor planets , including the asteroid 7794 Sanvito in the main belt .

The asteroid (9904) Mauratombelli was named after her in 1999.

Maura Tombelli is President of the Gruppo Astrofili Montelupo, founded in 1995 .
