Maurice S. Rawlings

Maurice S. Rawlings (born May 16, 1922 , † January 5, 2010 in Chattanooga ) was an American cardiologist and author . He wrote Christian books on near-death experiences .

Rawlings served in the US Navy during World War II and in the US Army during the Korean War . Rawlings was a physician to President Eisenhower and the Joint Chiefs of Staff . He was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee . He spent his old age in Chattanooga. Rawlings was married to Martha Emilia Rawlings and had five children.

Rawlings was the author of several books, such as: "Beyond the Line of Death - New Clear Indications of the Existence of Heaven and Hell" (1987), "To Hell and Back - Life After Death" (1996), which have been translated into several languages.
