Maurice Saatchi

Maurice Saatchi, Baron Saatchi (born June 21, 1946 in Baghdad , Iraq ) is a British entrepreneur of Iraqi-Jewish origin. Together with his brother Charles Saatchi, he was the founder of the now international advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi , which they left together in 1995 to found M&C Saatchi . This agency is also active worldwide today.

Life

In addition to his work at M&C Saatchi, Maurice Saatchi was also Chairman of the baked goods manufacturer Finsbury Food Group until April 2008 and a member of the Court of Governors of the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2003 to 2013 , where he previously obtained his academic degree.

Saatchi's net worth is estimated at £ 132 million . From 1984 until her death in 2011, he was married to the Irish writer Josephine Hart , with whom he has a son. In 1996 he was promoted to Life Peer as Baron Saatchi , of Staplefield in the County of West Sussex, and has been a member of the House of Lords ever since .

Between 2003 and 2005 he was co-chairman ( chairman ) of the Conservative Party alongside Liam Fox .
