Mauro Cartagena

Mauro Cartagena ( January 14, 20th century - February 10, 2014 ) was a Uruguayan actor .

Mauro Cartagena was particularly active in the field of radio plays , where he appeared primarily on CX36 Radio Centenario , CX30 Radio Nacional and on Radio Difusión Nacional des Servicio Oficial de Difusión Radio Eléctrica (SODRE). Cartagena founded the Compañía Nacional de Comedia . In addition, Cartagena, who can look back on more than 50 years of professional experience, was an ensemble member of the Teatro El Galpón , where he last appeared on stage in "Los siete gatitos". For two periods he chaired the Sociedad Uruguaya de Actores (SUA), the Uruguayan actors' association. In 2012 he received the Premio Alberto Candeau designed by Octavio Podestá for his life's work.
