Maury Povich
Maurice "Maury" Richard Povich (born January 17, 1939 in Washington, DC ) is an American talk show host .
Life
Povich hosts the talk show Maury , which is similar to The Jerry Springer Show , but without the fights that are common there. Topics such as paternity and polygraph tests, revelations of “shocking secrets”, weight loss and people with disabilities are popular. The show lives mainly from the screaming and freaking out of the guests, who abuse each other to the extreme and collapse in the studio. He is married to news anchor Connie Chung . From January 7 to June 17, 2006, he hosted a weekly newscast on MSNBC with Chung called Weekends with Maury and Connie . In 2010 he made a guest appearance on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother .
