Toll in Slovakia

On the motorways and certain expressways in Slovakia applies toll (Slovak mýto ). Toll-free motorway sections are marked with a sign reading "BEZ UHRADY".

Car

Motorways (D) and expressways (R)

Car drivers must take part in the e-vignette system. E-vignettes (up to 3.5 tons ) are available for:

  • 10 days (10 EURO)
  • one month (14 EURO)
  • or a calendar year / 14 months (50 EURO)

truck

For trucks and vehicles with the maximum permitted weight of more than 3,500 kg, billing is carried out using the OBU (On-Board-Unit) from SkyToll , the toll operator.

The toll rate for 1 km depends on the following parameters:

  • Road category (motorways and expressways or 1st class roads)
  • Type of vehicle (truck or bus)
  • Emission classes (EURO 0 – V + (EEV))
  • Number of axles or number of vehicle trains (2, 3 and 4 or more)

motorcycles

Motorcycles are not subject to tolls.

Payment of the toll

  • Shops marked with the “eznámka” logo are mostly located at selected petrol stations within the Slovak Republic or at border crossings when entering the Slovak Republic.
  • Self-service machines are mainly installed at border crossings when entering the Slovak Republic.
  • Internet portal (www.eznamka.sk)
  • “Eznamka” app for smartphones
