On December 13, 1994, the Ténis Clube de Bissau changed its name to Mavegro Futebol Clube, but has been called Ténis Clube since then.

In the same year 1994, the club also succeeded in winning the national cup, the Taça Nacional da Guiné-Bissau , which he was able to win again in 2002 and 2004.

The club won the country's Supercup , the Super Taça Nacional , in a game against champions Sporting Bissau in 1994 .

The club has not yet won the national championship Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau , its best placement was second place at the end of the 2008 season (as of 2017).
