The Max-Grundig-Schule is a state technical college in Fürth . The school currently offers training in technology, economics and administration, international economics and social affairs. Since the founding year 1970 (140 students at the time) the number of students has increased annually and reached 1,034 students in the 2009/2010 school year. This led to a lack of classrooms despite an expansion of the school building. Because of this, some classes had to be taught in external rooms this school year.

In summer 2008 the school was named after the Fürth entrepreneur Max Grundig . Mayor Thomas Jung described the decision as logical, because the school focuses on technology and economics and “nobody embodies these better than Max Grundig”.

The school participates in various school activities, such as the Comenius program . In this context, MGS has found school partners in Romania, Italy and Belgium. The school experiment KommMit was started to integrate foreign students.
