Max Hechenberger
Max Hechenberger (born December 12, 1870 in Passau ; † unknown) was a German organ builder .
Life
Max Hechenberger was born as the son of the organ builder Martin Hechenberger . He learned the profession of organ builder in his father's workshop (successor to Georg Adam Ehrlich the Younger since 1861; in Passau's old town No. 108). He took over this around 1910. His father worked in the company well into old age and often took care of the acquisition .
Max Hechenberger could not assert himself in the stifling competitive situation with Ludwig Edenhofer . By missing orders he had to earn his living elsewhere: He worked as a dealer for machines. Nothing is known about his further work today. He was mentioned for the last time in 1918 when he gave up the organ building business.
