Max Naujocks
Max Naujocks (born January 5, 1894 , † May 24, 1963 ) hid Jews who were persecuted during the Nazi era in Berlin and thus saved their lives.
For his courage, he was posthumously honored in 2013 by the Israeli Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations .
Naujocks and his wife Herta, who was of Jewish origin but converted to Christianity , hid the Jewish Weiss family in their house in the Malchow district of Berlin . Moritz Weiß was discovered and murdered by the Nazis. However, thanks to Naujock's help, his wife and daughter, Regina and Ellen, survived.
In 2011 a memorial plaque was inaugurated for Herta and Max Naujocks on Wartenberger Weg in Malchow .
