Max P. Kollbrunner

Max P. Kollbrunner (* 1926 ) is a Swiss architect .

life and work

Max P. Kollbrunner lives and worked in Brissago and Zurich . After winning a construction contract for the Luchswiesen primary school building in 1954 - it received the City of Zurich Award for Good Buildings in 1957 , he worked in an office partnership with the Zurich architect Theo Hotz in Zurich from 1956 to 1965 , with whom he worked Participated in numerous competitions, especially for school building, but z. B. also for the Triemli City Hospital. His work, which is best known to the general public, is probably the Hardau housing estate in Zurich, commissioned in 1965 after winning the competition, four red-brown high-rise apartment buildings in the Limmat plain of Zurich's suburbs, which form one of Zurich's dominant urban areas. He received the award for good buildings again for his indoor swimming pool Oerlikon, which was completed in 1983.
