The purpose of the Max Scheler Society is to promote scientific research into the work of Max Scheler and to support the scientific development of the estate. The company aims to bring Max Scheler's interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches to the public. The company pursues exclusively and directly charitable purposes that are particularly worthy of support. As such, it is recognized by the tax authorities. It has around 110 members.
