Max Windesheim

Max Windesheim (born November 29, 1868 in Erfurt ; † August 10, 1925 there ) was a German industrialist and grain wholesaler.

Life

Max Windesheim was born in 1868 as the son of the factory owner Hermann Windesheim and his wife Johanna (née Heimbach). As early as 1898, Max became a co-owner of the Arnstadt malt factory that belonged to his father. In 1902 he finally took over the company together with his brother Hugo. Together with his brother, he made the Arnstadt malt factory one of the most important box malting plants in Europe, with an annual production of 300,000 quintals. Max Windesheim was also involved in several mining companies in the Ruhr area and Saxony. He and his wife Adele had two daughters.
