Max von Zimmermann

Max Zimmermann , von Zimmermann since 1888 (born November 5, 1833 in Friedeburg , † February 20, 1925 ) was a German entrepreneur and councilor.

Life

Max Zimmermann came from a family coming from the Electorate of Saxony . His father was a senior bailiff in Friedeburg and died prematurely. In 1868 he took over the Benkendorf estate near Delitz am Berge in the Merseburg district, which had been acquired by his brother Leopold Zimmermann in 1857, after his untimely death, and married the widowed sister-in-law. He led this estate to one of the most important agricultural companies in the Prussian province of Saxony .

In 1888 he was due to his services by Emperor Friedrich III. raised to the hereditary nobility .
