Maxim Stanislawowitsch Oreschkin ( Russian Максим Станиславович Орешкин ; born July 21, 1982 in Moscow ) is a Russian manager and politician. On November 30, 2016, Oreshkin was appointed Minister of Economy of the Russian Federation.

Life

Oreschkin did his bachelor's degree at the Economics University in 2004 ( Russian: Национальный исследовательский университет «Высшая школа экономики» (НИУ ВШЭ) "." In September 2013 he became head of the long-term planning department in the Russian Ministry of Finance. Since March 2015 he has been Deputy Minister of Finance.

Oreshkin is the successor to Alexei Ulyukayev , who was arrested on November 14, 2016 on charges of corruption. From November 15 to 30, 2016, Yevgeny Jelin was acting on a temporary basis.
