Maximilian Society

The Maximilian Society (eV) , founded on December 22, 1911 in Berlin , whose namesake is the art-loving Emperor Maximilian , is the largest of the three national bibliophile associations with currently 720 members .

Her work is devoted to maintaining books that are good and beautiful in terms of content and form and promoting both German book art and the science of book.

The Stuttgart-based association has been chaired by the publisher Wolf D. von Lucius since 2009.

From 1957 to 2000 the company Philobiblon. A quarterly edition for book and graphic collectors . The members are currently receiving the magazine Aus dem Antiquariat .
