Maximilian Michailowitsch Grinblum

Maximilian Michailowitsch Grinblum ( Russian Максимилиан Михайлович Гринблюм ; born June 16, 1903 in Sedlez , † March 18, 1951 in Tashkent ) was a Soviet mathematician.

Grinblum studied mathematics at Lomonosov University in 1930 and received his doctorate there in 1932. He was then assistant professor at the Voronezh State University and during the Second World War (1941 to 1943) at the Voronezh Aircraft Institute, which was in Tashkent. In 1943 he became an assistant professor at the Central Asian University in Tashkent, where he became a professor.

More than 20 works on functional analysis come from him . Among other things, the Grinblum criterion for basic consequences is named after him.
