Maximiliano Acuña , full name Maximiliano Fabián Acuña Tejera , (born December 14, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.90 meter tall defensive player Acuña has been in the ranks of the reserves (Formativas) of the Uruguayan first division club Nacional Montevideo since the 2006/07 season . In the Apertura 2007 he ran once (no goal) for the professional team in the Primera División . At the beginning of 2008 he moved to the reserve of Club Atlético Peñarol . In early August 2010 he joined the second division club Sportivo Cerrito . In the 2010/11 season he completed at least ten second division games there and scored one goal. In January 2012 he moved to Argentina to join Tiro Morteros . From mid-July 2012 he continued his career at Club Boca Río Gallegos , where he was able to book at least two cup appearances in the first season. At the beginning of 2015 he was signed by the Club Gimnasia y Esgrima from Concepción del Uruguay . So far (as of July 15, 2017) he has been used 22 times in the Argentine Torneo Argentino A and scored three times in the opposing goal.
