Company history
The company was founded in 2012 through the takeover of the company Lemmerz-Werk GmbH, founded by Johann Lemmerz together with his brothers in Königswinter in 1919 , and continued as Hayes Lemmerz International Inc. from 1997 after the merger with Hayes Wheels International, by the Brazilian Iochpe-Maxion Group.
The company produces both steel and aluminum wheels.

Maxion Wheels EAAP Holding GmbH is the managing, equity holding parent company of the German investments of Maxion Wheels Europe S.à.rl, which in turn belongs to Maxion Wheels USA LLC.
