The Taluk Mayiladuthurai ( Tamil : மயிலாடுதுறை வட்டம் ) is a taluk ( sub- district) of the Nagapattinam district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu . The main town is the eponymous city Mayiladuthurai . The Taluk Mayiladuthurai has around 260,000 inhabitants.

The Taluk Mayiladuthurai is located in the northern half of the Nagapattinam district in the eastern Kaveri Delta .
