Location of the constituency in the state of South Australia .

Mayo is one of 150 constituencies used to elect the Australian House of Representatives . It is located south and east of the city of Adelaide in the state of South Australia . The constituency includes the towns of Victor Harbor , Lobethal , Mount Barker , Strathalbyn, and Woodside . The kangaroo island with the town of Kingscote also belongs to the constituency. It was named after the Australian doctor Helen Mayo and was created in 1984.

Since 2008, Jamie Briggs of the Liberal Party of Australia has been the incumbent MP for the constituency.
