J. Mayr & A. Fessler is a traditional stationery store at Kärntner Straße 37 in Vienna's 1st district, Innere Stadt .

history

In May 1840 Josef Mayr founded a drawing and painting props business at Kärntner Straße 37. Success began and the range was constantly expanded. Soon the company became one of the leading stationery shops which delivered office supplies to various areas of the monarchy and even to the imperial court.

A. Fessler joined as a business partner and the company was then called J. Mayr & A. Fessler .

The company survived the turmoil of the First and Second World Wars . The current owner is Alexander Jansa, the company is still family-owned.

Mayr & Fessler has writing implements, leather goods and gifts from the luxury segment in its range. It also offers paper goods and printed matter.
