Mazin Ahmed Alhuthayfi (born July 29, 1985 in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia ), usually just called Mazin , is a former Saudi Arabian football player .
Career
Mazin began his professional career at his home club Al-Ittihad Jeddah , but was loaned out to Staines Town in January 2010 , from where he returned in late June 2010. However, it was on loan directly to Hampton & Richmond Borough . Mazin was loaned to the reserves of Portsmouth FC for a year and a half on January 16, 2011, after returning during the 2010/11 winter break .
As part of the planned cooperation between Fortuna Düsseldorf and the Saudi Arabian top club Al-Ittihad Jeddah, Mazin was taken under a loan agreement by the first division club.
However, Mazin, who was in his former club as "the best player", could not prevail; the manager of the club Wolf Werner called Mazin's commitment as an "opportunity to develop further through training with the team of licensed players and to recommend it for the 1st Bundesliga". But he did not succeed, so that a follow-up contract was not signed and the training player returned to his home country.
During the winter break of the 2012/13 season Mazin was loaned to the Belgian second division club Oud-Heverlee Leuven . He made his league debut on February 23, 2013 against KV Mechelen when he came on for Ebrahima Ebou in the 90th minute . After the end of his loan contract with Leuven, Mazin's contract with his home club Al-Ittihad also expired.
