Mazraʿat al-Qabir ( Arabic مزرعة القبير, DMG Mazraʿat al-Qabīr ) or al-Qubair ( Arabic القبير, DMG al-Qubair , also al-Kubeir ), is a small farming village in the Hama Governorate in Syria , near the larger village of Maʿarzaf .

Mazraʿat al-Qabir was described by BBC News as "just a few single-story buildings with a flat roof in the middle, set in golden cornfields". There are "fewer than 30 houses" there.

During the Syrian civil war , 80 people were probably murdered there on June 6, 2012 by the Shabiha militias .
