Mazzeo Island is an island off the Graham Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 800 m west-northwest of the Quintana Island in the south-western part of the Wilhelm Archipelago .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1971 after Lieutenant Peter Mazzeo (* 1946), second surveying officer on the research vessel HMS Endurance , which was underway in February 1969 for survey work in the waters around this island.
