Mbangwe (also M'bahouin and Mbahouin) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 5200 people in Gabon and the Republic of the Congo (2000 census).

It is widespread in Gabon in the province of Haut-Ogooué south and west of the city of Franceville with around 3690 speakers and in the Republic of the Congo in the Lékoumou region with around 1510 speakers.

classification

Mbangwe is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Kele group , which is classified as the Guthrie Zone B20.
