Mbere languages

The Mbere languages are a language group within Guthrie Zone B of the Bantu languages . It is classified as Zone B60 and contains six individual languages ​​spoken by a total of around 177,500 people in Gabon , the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo .

The individual languages ​​are:

  • Kaningi , about 6000 speakers in Gabon
  • Mbere , approximately 106,000 speakers in the Republic of the Congo and Gabon
  • Ndumu , approx. 4,300 speakers in Gabon
  • Ngul , approximately 8,400 speakers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Ombamba , around 24,800 speakers in the Republic of the Congo and Gabon
  • Yangho , about 5000 speakers in Gabon
