Mbere (also Ambede, Limbede, Mbédé and Mbété) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 105,900 members of the Ambede in the Republic of the Congo and Gabon (2000 census).
It is widespread in the Republic of the Congo in the Cuvette-Ouest region in the Kellé and Ewo districts with around 60,400 speakers and in Gabon in the Haut-Ogooué province with around 45,500 speakers.
Mbere is written in the Latin script .

Mbere is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Mbere group , which is classified as a Guthrie Zone B60.
It is related to the Kaningi, Ndumu and Yangho languages, 77% of the vocabulary has similarities with the vocabulary of Ombamba, 76% with that of Ngungwel , 74% with that of Teke-Tege and 70% with that of Teke-Tsaayi . Mbere has the dialect Ngwii.
