Lectionary 13 ( called sigla ℓ 13 after the numbering of Gregory-Aland ) is a Greek manuscript of the New Testament on sheets of parchment (vellum). It was dated to the 12th century by means of paleography . It is also known as Colbertinus 1241 or Regius 1982 .
description
The code contains lessons from the Gospels of John, Matthew, and Luke. This lectionary ( evangelistarium ) is described in Greek uncials on 283 sheets of parchment (37 cm × 25.7 cm) in two columns on each side. Each page contains 18 lines with 11 to 14 letters per line.
The code is written very carefully and beautifully. The first seven pages are in gold, the next fifteen in vermillon, and the remainder in black ink. There are also pictures included.
At Matthew 23:35 the phrase υιου βαραχιου ( son of Barachi'ah ) is omitted; this significant omission is only supported by the Codex Sinaiticus , 59 (from the first scribe), two other Evangelistaries ( ℓ 6 and ℓ 185 ) and Eusebius .
The manuscript was examined by Scholz , Wettstein , and Paulin Martin.
Originally it was kept on Athos . The code is currently kept in the Bibliothèque nationale de France ( Fonds Coislin , Gr. 31) in Paris.
