Minuscule 59 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 272 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 238 sheets of parchment (19.6 × 14.5 cm) with gaps. The manuscript was dated to the 13th century using paleography .

description

The code contains the text of the four gospels. It was written in one column with 23 lines each. It contains prolegomena, lists of the κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, κεφαλαια, Synaxarion, Menologion, but Ammonian sections and the Eusebian canon are missing.

The Greek text of the Codex is largely a mixture of different types of text. Kurt Aland didn't put it in any category .

The Code is currently located at Gonville and Caius College (Ms 403/412) in Cambridge .
