McClure is an impact crater on the front of the moon on the southwestern rim of Mare Fecunditatis , east of Colombo crater and northeast of Cook . The rim of the crater is somewhat eroded and the interior is uneven.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British polar explorer Robert John Le Mesurier McClure .
