The McLeod Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located west-southwest of Cape Charlotte on the southeastern shore of Royal Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2009. It is named after Captain Michael McLeod, skipper of the sloop Beaufoy of London on James Weddell's second Antarctic voyage (1821-1822).
