McPherson is one of 150 constituencies used to elect the Australian House of Representatives . It is located in the southeast of the state of Queensland . The constituency includes the southern boroughs of the Gold Coast . It was founded in 1948 and named after the McPherson Range in Australia .
Karen Andrews of the Liberal National Party has been the incumbent MP for the constituency since 2010 .
