McRib

McRib (2011)

The McRib is a product of the American snack chain McDonald’s . It consists of a minced pork steak , which is pressed into a shape of ribs reminds (engl .: ribs), Gewürzgurken- and onion slices, a "Western sauce" based on tomato puree and sugar to remind by adding smoke flavor to a barbecue product and an elongated, sprinkled with corn meal soft wheat roll of US-typical places buns bun .

The McRib was first sold in US restaurants in 1981, but only achieved moderate sales and was taken out of the range in 1985 in the USA and partly later in other countries, to have been partly as a promotional item since 1989, partly as a fixed element on the menu until 1989 keep returning to the 2010s.

In Germany, the McRib is more popular and has been an integral part of the range since the 1980s.

Today it is sold in Germany as one of the “classics”, as one of the larger meat products that have long been known to the public, which can be selected as the main component of McMenus and are advertised as such at the counter in every restaurant.
