The Meana Point ( English ; Bulgarian нос Меана nos Meana ) is an icy headland on the north coast of Nelson Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 1 km east of Baklan Point , 530 m south of Rotalia Island and 2.5 km southwest of Cariz Point on the west side of the entrance to Quesada Cove .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2020 after Elias Meana Díaz, first head of the Spanish Juan Carlos I station on Livingston Island , for his support of the Bulgarian Antarctic program.
