Mecka Lind

Mecka Lind (* 1942 in Lund ) is a Swedish children's book author .

Before she published her first children's book in 1982, she worked in the advertising industry, as a tour guide and as a freelance journalist. Since then she has written many books for children and young people that have been translated into over ten languages. She has received numerous international prizes, including the Buxtehuder Bullen and the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize for books for children and young people .
