    The Mecklenburg Lakes Circuit (or Lake Circuit , abbreviated MSR ) is an annual cycling event or bike marathon in the Mecklenburg Lake District with start and finish in the city of Neubrandenburg . It is one of the largest mass sports events in Germany , to which over 3000 participants were registered in 2017. In 2018 the event took place on May 25th and 26th, in 2019 it took place on May 24th and 25th with over 4000 participants.

    In 2020, the Mecklenburg Lakes Round was planned for May 22nd and 23rd. However, like many major sporting events, it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

    The Swedish Vätternrundan is the model for the tour . The main components of the Mecklenburg Lakes Tour are two bike tours with circular courses over 300 km and 90 km (height profile 15 to 142 m), with the smaller course being reserved for female participants. There are also two short-distance races for children called MSR-Minis .

    At the same time as the event, the MSR Sattelfest bicycle fair will be held in the Neubrandenburg cultural park .
