Medal "Danube-Black Sea Canal"

The medal "Danube-Black Sea Canal" ( Romanian Medalia canalul Dunăre-Marea Neagră ) was a state award of the Socialist Republic of Romania . The foundation took place in 1984 in one class. It was awarded to people who had rendered outstanding services to the planning and execution of the Danube-Black Sea Canal .

Appearance and wearing style

The obverse of the gilded medal shows a stylized representation of the canal and the associated building data 1976 1984 . At the top, the image is enclosed in a semicircular inscription: CANALUL DUNĂRE-MAREA NEAGRĂ . The reverse of the medal shows two bound bay leaves and the inscription: MĂREAṬA IZBÎNDĂ A POPORULUI ROMÂN ÎN EPOCA CEAUṢESCU (Glorious Victory of the Romanian People in the Ceaușescu Epoch ).

The medal was worn on the left side of the chest of the person on a golden pentagonal metal clasp with a laurel wreath and a colored national flag.
