Appearance and wearing style

The bronze-colored medal shows the heads of two Red Army soldiers in the middle of its obverse , the one in front representing a sailor. The lettering is pierced by an anchor on its lower middle part , the middle of which is hidden by the soldier portraits. A Soviet star is emblazoned between the anchor arms on the upper edge of the medal . The reverse shows the three-line inscription: За нашу / советскую / родину (For our Soviet homeland). Above it are the symbols of hammer and sickle .

The medal was worn on the upper left side of the chest of the borrower on an elongated pentagonal fabric-covered clasp, the base color of which is light green with a vertical blue central stripe woven into it. The associated interim brace is of the same quality.
