Medardas Stankevičius

Medardas Stankevičius (born February 23, 2000 ) is a Lithuanian table tennis player . He has participated in three European championships and four world championships so far (2020) . The Lithuanian is right-handed and uses the European shakehand stick position as a handle .

Career

The Lithuanian started playing table tennis at the age of six. He set foot on international soil at the age of 10 when he took part in the Swedish Junior & Cadet Open. Due to his good performance, he was nominated for the 2015 World Cup , but was eliminated early in all three competitions. He had other appearances in 2017, including at the European Championships , where he came in 24th with the team. At the Polish Open he reached the round of 32 with Andrei Putuntica.In 2018 he was seen less often, but represented his country at the European Games in 2019 .

From 2017 to 2020 he played for TV Leiselheim and helped its men's team to rise to the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2018/19 season .
