The MediServ Bank GmbH is a private medical clearing house and since the granting of full banking license in 2013 and a bank . Doctors, dentists, chief physicians, clinics, dental laboratories, alternative practitioners, therapists and also patients can make use of the services.

history

Founded in 1997 as "mediserv Billing und Service für Heilberufe GmbH", the core business was the processing of private billing including assuming the risk of payment default (real factoring ). mediserv was one of the first companies to which customers could send billing data online. Until then, billing on paper or diskette was still standard.

Since the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) granted its banking license on February 26, 2012, mediserv has also been allowed to conduct banking transactions in addition to processing private billing including factoring. Since then, Mediserv has been acting nationwide as a deposit bank . Today the business activities include billing services as well as deposit and credit transactions for health professions, particularly for dentists, doctors and clinics, as well as the provision of installment loans for patients to finance medical services.

The company carries out the private liquidation online using software . The offers cover the different needs of practices, clinics and laboratories and also offer an invoice check ( GOÄ and completeness check), one hundred percent immediate payment, processing of complaints, or the assumption of the risk of payment default as part of real factoring.

The offer also includes a loan for patients, and this also for bills from other billers. The service provider (e.g. dentist, laboratory or hearing aid acoustician) receives his money immediately after submitting the invoice, while the patient pays mediserv the amount in the agreed installments. After all, the bank intends to increase investment and start-up financing.
