In the United States applies Adiantum jordanii has received the fungal Oomycetes Phytophthora ramorum , which the Sudden Oak Death causes. The USDA enforces import controls, whereby areas with Sudden Oak Death (namely the states of California, Oregon, New York) are monitored more intensively. For the purchase of Adiantum jordanii must plant specimens a guarantee of origin and a phytosanitary certificate be settled. The USDA warns against taking specimens from the wild .
