Meehanite

Meehanite cast iron is the proprietary trademark of a number of advanced cast iron materials . The combination of their mechanical properties makes them suitable for specific technical purposes. A in the United States Augustus F. Meehan granted patent is named for these materials, in which by a specific method of vaccination by means of Ca Si - alloys a very fine graphite is formed in the structure.

It was developed in the USA by Meehan and Smalley in the 1920s.
