And the Sepulcher of the Mirror Warlocks followed , which was reissued by Killer Metal Records in 2015 as a compilation with the first EP.

In 2016, the band renamed itself Mega Colossus in order to minimize or eliminate confusion, as the original name is used relatively widely. In autumn 2017 the band went on a European tour for the first time. Six European countries were visited, including Germany, Italy and Slovenia.

In May 2018 the band was confirmed for the 2019 edition of the Hell Over Hammaburg festival organized by Wolf-Rüdiger Mühlmann .

style

Due to the double-barreled guitars, some drum figures and the degree of hardness, the band will be compared to Iron Maiden . Nevertheless, she makes music "close to the power metal". Elsewhere it says "Iron Maiden meets Thin Lizzy ". In addition, the US metal band Slough Feg is continuously used as a reference.

reception

HyperGlaive , the first work under a new name, was generally welcomed. It received 8 out of 10 possible points at Crossfire and particularly emphasized was "for example the clear vocals of Sean Buchanan, which can be recognized by his vocal color among many others". At Powermetal.de , the album won first place in the soundcheck 12/2016 and received 9 out of 10 points in the individual review.

Andreas Schiffmann of Rock Hard judged that the "first album to be released on a broader scale in Europe" was music that was "eight times more direct, lovingly melodic heavy metal with weird fantasy or sci-fi lyrics", “Which one could still listen to with joy in ten years”.
