Killer Metal Records is a music label based in Wiefelstede in the Ammerland district , it specializes in traditional forms of heavy metal and thrash metal . In addition to initial releases, the program also includes rereleases . Jens Häfner is the founder and managing director.

Well-known groups from German-speaking countries such as Edge of Thorns and Stormwarrior are part of the repertoire of Killer Metal Records; as international scene sizes u. a. After All (Belgium), Anihilated (United Kingdom), Damien Thorne , Halloween (both United States), Switchblade (Israel) and Virus (United Kingdom).
In an interview a good ten years after the first release, Häfner explained that he only released heavy metal "in the true sense", as it was played stylistically from 1981 to 1985.

Trivia
The label's first release, Soldier's 7 "single Murderous Night , had a run of 500. Later vinyl releases came in higher editions, but later became rarer due to a shift to the CD format.
Metalhead should have been the first group with a CD release in 2006. However, due to unspecified aspects, this release was delayed, so that it became the twelfth on CD.
In addition to the music label , which is designed for traditional heavy metal varieties, founder and managing director Jens Häfner runs two fanzines that move in a similar channel. These are the collector's magazine Heavy Metal Collector , published for the first time in 1994, and the German and English-language Metal Gods, published in 2014 .
