The Mehmetli Dam ( Turkish Mehmetli Barajı ; formerly Kesiksuyu Dam ) is a dam on the southern flank of the Taurus Mountains on the Kesiksuyu River in Osmaniye Province in southern Turkey .
The Mehmetli dam was built in the years 1965–1971 for the purpose of irrigation and flood protection . The barrier structure is a 57.4 m (above the valley floor) high earth embankment dam . The dam volume is 4.4 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 2.8 km². The storage space is 53 million m³. The dam is designed for the irrigation of an area of 11,876 ha.
