MZG-40

The multi-purpose device 40 (MZG-40) was a compact loader from VEB Baumechanisierung Lengenfeld . In 1983 the MZG-40 was presented at the Leipzig autumn fair .

The device was mainly suitable for earthworks and civil engineering work . There were various additional devices such as shovels, front rippers, grab shovels, excavators, earth auger, forklift forks and a rear support. The all-wheel-drive vehicle, driven by a four-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine with water cooling, achieved a top speed of 10 km / h with a service weight of 2500 kg. The driving and working hydraulics were operated using a single lever. With the two hydrostatic travel drives, the MZG-40 could turn on the spot. An improved version of the device was sold under the type designation MZG-40-1.
